Welcome to My World

Today I decided to join the blogging world. Now and then things happen with the little ones I want to post and their parents may not. Also, since retirement is but one year away, my life just might get interesting. Sometimes, miracles do occur. Besides, I do things that would NEVER show in my kids blogs. The best is always yet to come!!

This last weekend was a busy, but fun one. My mom's birthday is today, April 1, so my kids decided we needed to have a surprise party for her since it was her 80th. Scott, my nephew and his girlfriend came from Atlanta and the rest of the crew currently all reside here. Kara wanted to do a group picture as a gift for Mom, so we did. We took this picture on Saturday, in the rain and the cold--it was about 50 degrees. It started raining hard, so we only got one chance. I thought it was pretty good for one try. The amazing part, we did it with Kara's camera and set the timer and she ran. Also, she managed to delete it before printing. In a panic, she went to the photo shop and for a price, they were able to recover it. The group pictures were taken later in the day, with Mom.

I love the fact that Mae-Lei and Justin are holding hands. The three little ones are so very close. Funny story for the day. Craig and I were giving Justin and Ada their baths that morning. For ease, and since they are still young enough, we threw them in together. Craig was washing Ada and Justin grabbed the bar on the shower door and started hopping all over. I advised him to stop as he could fall and get badly hurt. He told me he was trying to walk on the water!! I did advise him that only Jesus could accomplish that. He has a favorite book, "Jesus and the 12 dudes who did" that he loves to have read to him. Amazing what they pick up and try to do!! He also picked me my first bouquet of "flowers" that day. He was all worried and kept reminding me, "Member Grammie, put them in water!"

Take care all. Talk to you soon!

Shari
